A Poem

Born to one with many more needs than it has
That loves it while it is cuddly and cute
But who soon sees it as a burden and neglects it too much of the time
Grows up becoming an afterthought and struggles for attention
Grows up fighting for its needs, or not
Grows up being leftover and left out
But finds someone who seems to care
When it really needs someone to notice and appreciate its simple being
Lives and laughs and shares like others
For awhile
But the other has many needs
So many that it cannot continue to share and live as one
There are struggles, what to do
It cannot go on, so it does not
Has grown and lived and been seasoned by Life
Experienced most all that one experiences
Erred, learned, appreciates, loves
Wants to share again, needs to
Does

Laughter, the best medicine - A smile, a wonderful calling card

"Humor and laughter are not necessarily the same thing. Humor permits us to see into life from a fresh and gracious perspective. We learn to take ourselves more lightly in the presence of good humor. Humor gives us the strength to bear what cannot be changed, and the sight to see the human under the pompous." Joan Chittister

So we should all have plenty of humor and laughter in our lives - our society has gotten very stressful for most of us (except for the top 1% that the Republicans and the Tea Party want to protect (and they are probably stressed that they will lose all of their precious benefits)). Laugh every day until you almost or do cry, be silly, and look at the humor in everything. Watching the WGN Morning News, The Colbert Report and the Daily Show are facilitators for this.

More on topics that must be addressed by all of us in future days.
